I have a friend at school who constantly scoffs at the very mention of Owl City and thinks Adam is ugly and that the years haven’t been good to him, etc. And I’m just like,

Your Korean boy toys need like 50 guys singing and making generic boy band lyrics and generic boy band dances (though I admit they’re good in that area). Adam does it all by himself (except in concerts, of course) and makes songs that can shake even the coldest heart, lyrics that make you think and smile and just feel good about yourself and the world around you without the need to be generic. I know different opinions are different but if the only song you’ve ever heard is Fireflies, your opinion kind of automatically invalidates in that area.
